Introduction There are six major sub-specialties in forensic psychology: criminal, juvenile, civil, investigative, correctional, and police forensic psychology. Professionals working under each of them have unique roles, educational qualifications, responsibilities, ethical challenges, and controversial issues to confront. Similarly, there are various studies and seminal cases that have shaped the sub-specialties in different ways. In most cases, they reflect changes in the criminal justice system in terms of admissibility of expert evidence. The aim of this paper is to investigate each of these sub-specialties Criminal Forensic psychology professionals in criminal forensic psychology have a number of roles and responsibilities worth explaining in detail. To begin with, they must be advanced-degree holders with postdoctoral training and licensing to operate in this field of specialization. They work primarily within the criminal justice system, although they may also be self-employed. In the former case, they may work as staff in FBI units or as prison staff. Business people today are more aware about the social and the environment impact of their business than in the past. They start taking into account activities in helping others and preserving the environment as a main part of their business model. Business is no longer solely aim for profit as they have much larger purpose than that. However, to achieve that purpose, the business people need the Government and NGOs to create strong synergy in achieving the desirable outcome. For more than five years I had been participating in many social works, focusing on helping people start their own business and become entrepreneurs by giving them tools in how to start and manage their business. Through that time, I didn’t see this type of approach was effective, as many NGO’s and Government were doing similar activities in helping them. Many NGO’s mostly depend on donors and foundation for charity-like of approach which is hard to be sustained. Most of startups and Small Medium Enterprises need support in longer time, not just one off. At least they need the support until they have capacity in solving their basic problems. Characterization Involvement in Themes Essay 1Eng. Lit H2/19/04In William Goldings Lord of the Flies the theme of right versus wrong exists. The plot of the story is a basic fight for civilization where no governing body exists. This means that there is no ruler or parent to tell the kids who have been stranded what to do. They become their own parents so to speak and one of them becomes the leader to try to keep the surviving. However, this theme is best shown between the character traits of the two main characters, Ralph and Jack. Ralph is a symbol of morale, orderly conduct, and civilization. He becomes the leader of the group and takes upon the responsibility of governing all the stranded kids. He also takes on the task of finding a way to get off the island and be rescued. Ralph has the personality of being mature and making correct decisions at all times. He represents good in the story and strives to do the right things. He does not have the urge to be an all-powerful leader who orders everybody around. Also, he does not have the urge to be savage and evil to the other characters. Ralph makes mature decisions and has a drive to be saved and be rescued. All his actions have the motive of benefiting everyone. His first action as a leader consists of creating a signal fire to get the attention of ships at sea. Gaining their attention to the smoke will eventually lead to them being rescued. Next, he sets to build huts for shelter and appoints Jack to be leader of the hunters to provide food. This one decision will lead to future complications, as Jack is the direct opposite of Ralph. Jack is a representation of immorality and disorderly conduct. He is not someone who focuses on solving the main problem of getting off the island. Instead, he focuses on 2having fun and avoiding work. He has the urge to be a fierce competitor and shows it through savage hunting of animals. He likes to be evil and mean to the younger characters because it brings him amusement. Jack makes immature decisions and is selfish because of his drive to do things for the benefit of himself. He is not one to be ruled over because he has greed for power and sees himself more as a leader instead of a follower. With this as his motive and power of leader of the hunters, Jack makes the immature decision of breaking the group. He decides to make his own tribe that is supposed to be better, stronger, and more fun the Ralphs tribe. Since he is the leader of the hunters, all of the hunters join him along with most of the other characters. This event will complete the theme of right versus wrong. With two groups on the island, there is sure to be complications among them. The two groups are opposites: one representing right, morality, and maturity and the other representing wrong, immorality, and immaturity. The group led by Jack wants to attack the other group to prove that they are indeed stronger and because they want all the power. Ralph does not want to fight because it will lead to everyones demise, but instead wants to fix the problem through discussion, reason, and compromise. This does not work and Jack is successful in taking everyone out in Ralphs group except for Ralph. The will power and drive of Ralphs urge to be moral and good will not let him be defeated. In a run around the island to get away from all of the hunters, Ralph accidentally ignites the entire jungle into an inferno. A British fleet sees the blaze and comes to Ralphs rescue just before the hunters can kill him. With the rescue complete, Ralph with his righteous personality overcomes all odds and de feats those with wrong personalities.

Night by Elie Wiesel Essay NIGHT Introduction The Holocaust was the attempt by the Nazi regime to systematically exterminate the European Jewish race during World War II. The Holocaust was a reference to the murder of around six million Jews and other minority groups such as homosexuals, gypsies and the disabled (Wiesel, 2008). In the 1930’s the Jewish population in Romania was around half a million. However, during World War II most of those Jews sent to the labour barracks or death camps (Wiesel, 2008). Set the scene of the reader, what is it about? Night by Elie Wiesel is about his experiences in the Nazi concentration camps of Auschwitz and Buchenwald in 1944 to 1945, at the height of the Holocaust and toward the end of the Second World War. It is a terrifying account  of the Nazi death camp horror that turns a naive young boy into an agonized witness of the death of  his family, his innocence and the  death and loss of faith in his God (Wiesel, 2008). The Jews of Sighet, Romania, remained in denial that anything awful would happen to them. Elie, a 15-year-old boy was forced into the Sighet ghetto and then onto the transport which arrived at Auschwitz, where the Jews were powerless to do anything to save themselves (Wiesel, 2008). I wanted to show the end, the finality of the event. Everything came to an end—man, history, literature, religion, God. There was nothing left. And yet we begin again with night (Wiesel, 2008). When the Germans first arrived in Sighet, they were friendly and pleasant, â€Å"their attitutude toward their hosts was distant, but polite. They never demanded the impossible, made no unpleasant comments, and even smiled occasionally at the mistress of the house†(Wiesel, 2008). It appeared that the Germans wanted to gain the trust of the Jewish community to maintain the peace within the community before turning on them (Wiesel, 2008). While everyone was packed in the ghetto waiting for news of what was happening, Elie’s father returned from a meeting and told those gathered that they were being deported. Elie and his family were packed into cattle cars and taken to Auschwitz. As the train arrived, they saw smoke rising from chimneys and were assailed by the horrific smell of burning flesh (Wiesel, 2008). Describe what Elie calls the ‘death race’? The Death Race was the race by the Germans to kill as many Jews as they could. They wanted to wipe out the entire Jewish race to develop a German ‘master race’ (Wiesel, 2008). The Germans were pushing the Jewish community towards death to see who survived. The Passover ended, â€Å"the curtain rose† (Wiesel, 2008) and the Germans â€Å"arrested the leaders of the Jewish community† (Wiesel, 2008). Elie states, â€Å"from that moment, everything happened very quickly. The race toward death had begun† (Wiesel, 2008). It was at first a slow progression from limiting the rights of the Jewish people, to wearing the Star of David and then to the attempted extermination. The Germans then began a race to kill the Jews as quickly as they could (Wiesel, 2008). Why do you think the prisoner told Elie and his father to lie about their ages? As they arrived at Auschwitz, a prisoner told Elie and his father to lie about their age in order to avoid the crematorium (Wiesel, 2008). Those deemed fit to work were sent to the labour barracks, whereas children and the elderly were sent to the gas chambers (Wiesel, 2008). In the first paragraph of chapter 3 Elie refers to the loss of the last of their illusions, what illusions might he be referring to? Elie refers to the loss of the last of their illusions because the Jews thought that, while overcrowded, they would remain safe in the Ghetto until the end of the war, until â€Å"the arrival of the Red Army† (Wiesel, 2008). They thought the Russian Army would save them. This is the meaning of the illusion, it was technically all a dream as Elie states, â€Å"the cherished objects we brought with us this far were left behind in the train, and with them, at last our illusions† (Wiesel, 2008). Conclusion The Holocaust is â€Å"a history of enduring horror and sorrow† (Wiesel, 2008). Never could anyone imagine such evil, such a horrific event happening in our world. This innocent young boy witnessed the depths of human cruelty and the heights of human disgrace (Wiesel, 2008). This unimaginable historic event breached a large number of articles of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, commencing at Article 1 which states that â€Å"all human being are born free and equal in dignity and rights† (United Nations, 2013). The inmates of the concentration camps had their freedom, dignity and rights were taken away. Other Articles breached were 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 21, 25, 26 and 28. This novel outlines â€Å"the ever-increasing horrors that Elie endured, the loss of his family and his struggle to survive in a world that stripped him of humanity, dignity and faith† (Wiesel, 2008). Never will Elie Wiesel forget that horrific and barbaric experience he encounted as a 15 year old boy, watching people murdered and the smell of burning flesh and the murder of members of his family. We will take one sample of vinegar from a restaurant and from a takeaway which we will carry out an experiment that will show us the results and concentration of the vinegar compared to the standard solution which Trading Standard provides. What is a Vinegar? Vinegar is a versatile liquid that is created from fermentation of ethanol, this is done by when yeast or any type of bacteria. What is a Titration? A Titration is a technique where a solution of unknown concentration is identified by performing this test. A typical titration is where a titrant is added to a burette with the known amount of the unknown solution, until the reaction is complete. An acid-base titration is useful because acid-base titration techniques can help determine a pH of the chemical; also it allows us to see the lowest amount (in terms of volume) of a standardized substance you need to complete a reaction fully, which is why you add the substance slowly instead of quickly. Volume (by pipette) known value Evalution The results we have found turned out to be accurate to the Trading Standard results, for example sample A exactly got the same results as Trading Standard 23. 96cm? Sample B’s results show that they have water down the Vinegar compared to the Trading Standard, are results are very accurate this is why we received good results from the titration test, we may have done some mistake, out of the three experiment but not major mistake. There could have been an error made while we measured the Vinegar, are method was appropriate and our equipment’s were very accurate, this is shown by are accurate results which compares to the results of Trading Standard, we can improve this experiment by being more accurate with our measurement next time we perform this experiment.

Whelk Facts and Information Whelks are snails with beautiful shells. If you see something on the beach that looks like a seashell, its probably the shell of a whelk. There are over 50 species of whelks. Here you can learn about characteristics common to these species. What Does a Whelk Look Like? Whelks have a spiraled shell which varies in size and shape. These animals can vary in size from under an inch in length (shell length) to more than 2 feet. The largest whelk is the trumpet whelk, which grows to over 2 feet. Whelk shells vary in color. Whelks have a muscular foot that they use to move and hold prey. They also have a hard operculum that closes the shells opening and is used for protection. To breathe, whelks have a siphon, a long tube-like organ which is used to bring in oxygenated water. This siphon allows the whelk to burrow in the sand while still getting oxygen. Whelks feed using an organ called the proboscis. The proboscis is made up of the radula, esophagus, and mouth. Reproduction Whelks reproduce by sexual reproduction with internal fertilization. Some, like the channeled and knobbed whelks, produce a string of egg capsules that maybe 2-3 feet long, and each capsule has 20-100 eggs inside which hatch into miniature whelks. Waved whelks produce a mass of egg capsules which look like a pile of egg cases. The egg capsule allows the young whelk embryos to develop and provides protection. Once they have developed, the eggs hatch inside the capsule, and the juvenile whelks leave via an opening. Habitat and Distribution The question of where to find a whelk depends upon what species youre looking for. In general, whelks may be found in many parts of the world, and are usually found on sandy or muddy bottoms, from shallow tide pools out to waters several hundred feet deep. Human Uses Whelks are a popular food. People eat the mollusks muscular foot- an example is the Italian dish scungilli, which is made from a whelks foot. These animals are also collected for the seashell trade. They may be caught as bycatch (e.g., in lobster traps), and they may be used as bait to catch other marine life, such as cod. Whelk egg cases may be used as a fishermens soap. The veined rapa whelk is a non-indigenous species that have been introduced into the U.S. The native habitat of these whelks includes waters in the western Pacific Ocean including the Sea of Japan, Yellow Sea, East China Sea, and the Bohai Sea.
